Jeff and Deaana started their journey in 2015. When Deaana couldn’t sleep one night, she found an ad that was offering a small country market for sale in Silverado Canyon, just 20 minutes up Chapman from their home in Orange. Despite being 3:00 AM, Deaana woke Jeff up and asked him honey, “Do you know where Silverado is?” Jeff half asleep grunted yes! It’s right up the street, then she asked, “do you want to buy a country market up there?” Jeff being up to any task answered sure.

Fast forward two days later, when we met Kirsten and Kyle at the market to check it out and make an offer. Granted, this was going to be a huge undertaking, it was all good and we were up to it! Jeff had burnt out on being a real estate mortgage broker for 15 years plus and Deanna had a very successful hair salon, but felt it was time for a change as well. Next thing you know, we’re both buried and running and building another business totally outside of our comfort zone.

What started out as operating a market with a five-year business plan, turned into a nine year full renovation with, with a new market, restaurant and huge dining patio. We named it “the Corral.” It’s been a rough long road, with every possible obstacle thrown at us, spending all of our savings, borrowing money from anywhere we could find it. Dealing with the planning department, health department, contractors, vendors, fires, floods, and even a pandemic. Nothing could stop us, our plan was to create a destination for everyone, a place to enjoy the canyon, its wonderful creatures, scenery, and residence.

Since opening the kitchen, we have finally realized our dream, all of the hard work, suffering, borrowing, desperation, anxiety, and constant obstacles, never stopped us from our plan! We had a vision, put it down on paper, prayed about it, and worked hard. We could never have done it without the support from our family, friends, and community. We are so grateful and blessed to be part of such an incredible journey. We hope you all will enjoy the food, drinks, and serenity that we call home and fall in love with everyday.
